My Grandma was the best grandma anyone could ever ask for. She taught me how to love God and others around me. She was extremely caring and loving with a very unique personality that I loved dearly. I will miss my Grandma a lot and will miss hearing her joyful voice over the phone. Whenever we would talk she would constantly pray for me and my siblings, uplift us and fill us with so much love and joy. I will forever cherish her words of adulation and will forever miss my Grandma. I love you Grandma.

May she rest in perfect peace.

A LIFE LIVED IN FAITH.
TRIBUTE TO MY MUM, OZITI ADIJATU AJISAFE.
Our Mum was a very strong woman who had so much love to give. She was extremely prayerful, God fearing and meant the world to us. We love her dearly and we are so grateful to God almighty for giving us the privilege to have shared many memories and moments with her..Mum has been a blessing to our lives and to the lives of her grandchildren.
Even though you are no longer here with us, we can still feel you guiding us. We remember Mum’s prayers and they have always followed us.
She loved us all and pointed us to her greatest treasure: Jesus Christ, the lamb of God who takes away sin of the world.
Your death has given us much pain, words are too short to express our agony and despair in our hearts, She will be missed dearly and deeply by us and even though her departure is painful, we know that she is in a better place and we thank God for that.
We thank God almighty for the beautiful life my Mum lived and for her impact. We love her dearly and we pray that she rests peacefully in the bossom of the Lord.
Mum died by faith, with dignity in Christ.
We have lost a praying mother, but we have not lost her prayers.
You will always be in our hearts, we love and miss you dearly.

How time flies. In 1985, at sawmill, here in Ilorin. The wind of the gospel brought me to you and led you and the entire family to Christ. Since then, you passionately followed the Lord. In thick and thin, in the valley and desert, in life challenges, persecutions, and misunderstandings, you were focused on Jesus, your saviour. You lived a very simple life and did not bother anybody with demands except on how you would grow and be steadfast in the Lord. As you normally called me..”omo mi ema ma fi misile fun rami,” that is, don’t leave me to myself. You did not joke with reading of your bible and prayers. My four minutes, 22 seconds, last discussion with you at 12.17 pm on the 8th of February, 2024. You did tell me, omo mi ewa rimi bayi, that’s my son ,see the way ,I am now. Your voice shows that life was taking its turn on you. I encouraged you, prayed for you,and told you to stand firm and hold on even until the end of your life journey in order to meet your saviour whom you loved and served. Gladly, I heard about your last moments testimony as you were reading the book of Psalms, and in it, you said, Jesus, come and take me home, sure word ,heaven is your home, you were just a stranger here in this world, Jesus come and take me home, this was on your lips and then breathe your last with a glorious exit. Praise the Lord, you made it. In the sweet bye and bye, we shall meet on that beautiful shore.. Good night, mummy, till we meet at the feet of Christ. Your son and your father in the Lord. So sad I have to put this down with heavy heart about my Small ‘Mummy’. I will forever cherish those moments I returned from Ghana as a boy and you had to take care of me. I will appreciate your meals then and instructions on my growing up. You were a wonderful Mummy. I love you but God Almighty loves you more and I Pray May you find a pleasant place in Aljanah.

The words of a Christian songwriter are very apt at a time like this. He said, “What is this life but a vapour? It vanishes away.”
Mama Ajisafe has played her part and gone to meet her Saviour. She will forever be remembered for her prayer life. Whenever she saw us going out, she would ask, “Where are you going?” Once the answer was given, she would say, “Ema pe o” (i.e. Don’t be long) and add a prayer, Jesu a ba yin lo o.(i.e. Jesus will go with you).
She was an evangelist to the core. She was always distributing Gospel tracts at the junction of Yusuf Ajisafe Close. At the end of every month, she would also distribute her church’s publication “Women Mirror ” free of charge. If for any reason the publication was rejected, she would still bring the next copy at the end of the following month! She was very interested in hospitality even when it was not convenient for her. Our children certainly will miss the God-inspired cognomen (oriki) that she had for them all, I.e “Omo mi, olori ire, (“My child, the favoured one “).
Rest in peace, Mama.

My Grandma was always a loving, kind woman who was known for always being strong in her faith. But I also remember her as the woman who would feed me as a toddler, I remember she would even pray over the water we used to bathe with as children and I remember how every conversation we had was always a happy one, beginning and ending with joy.

Grandma was a kind, generous and sweet lady and she will always remain in my mind and my heart as a wonderful Grandma.

She will be missed dearly but I know she has carried on in peace and joy with God.

Tribute to my wonderful and beloved Sister-Mummy Oziti Ajisafe.

To everything, there is a season and time to every purpose under the heaven. A time to be born and a time to die Eccl. 3:1-2. You were a woman of many attributes, a Christian that exhibited fragrance of goodness, epitome of kindness, embodiment of pure love, cheerful giver, and a caring mother. My beloved sister, you came, fought the fight and kept the faith. We met as sinners in the seventies but God graciously saved our undying souls in the eighties and together we served God in the Deeper Life Christian Ministry, Ilorin. Your passing came as a big blow to me and my family but we take solace in God who has taken you home. We miss you a lot and your memories will always be ever green in our hearts and minds. All your prayers and heart desires for your children and their wards will surely come to pass. You were a rare gem who lived a beautiful gracious life. Sleep on sweet and beloved sister.

Mummy (Mrs Oziti Ajisafe) was an exceptional being, a beacon of love, gentleness, and uniqueness. She was the first nurse I ever knew and left an indelible print in my life with her kindness and generosity.

I remember her driving (white Datsun and later Yellow Toyota) me and Shina to Trinity Nursery and Primary School, GRA from Sawmill where we lived daily. And how she would pick us up from school to her place of work at the Police HQ Clinic and later the Civil Service Clinic in Ilorin before going home. Mummy’s compassion and dedication to others knew no bounds. She opened her home every Sunday evening for Deeper Life Fellowships, embodying the spirit of community and faith in the Sawmill area of Ilorin. I remember her frontage (Luku’s field) was where we played football in our early days in the area. Everyone in the Area knew her and her husband whom we called “Daddy” (great man RIP) for their gentle and wonderful demeanour.

I cannot forget the memories of her selflessness, especially when she packed provisions, including the cherished imported skimmed milk in plastics, for my first year at Offa Grammar School.
God bless you so much for all the love you gave, ma. Sleep well, Iya rere. Amin.

Growing up in an environment with all shades of tribes in Nigeria yet lives harmoniously as one big fat family. Your house then was our play center. The space in your frontage was our ‘standard’ football field.
Mummy, you were kindhearted, calm and accommodating. As one of the very first Caregivers I grew up knowing, you’re one in a million. Despite your schedules and that of daddy, you had a very firm grip of your home.
I pray God accept your glorious return with peaceful rest.
Goodnight Iya Luku as the kids would always referred to you then.
To my brothers and sisters left behind, I pray God give you the heart to bear this irreplaceable loss. My condolences to the entire family.

We celebrate the memory of our dear aunt and grand-aunt who left us with the significant heartache of losing one so cherished and so loved.

Mrs Oziti Adijatu Ajisafe was a respected senior matron before her retirement and most importantly, an incredible woman whose kindness and generosity was a light she shined on all who were lucky enough to know her.
For one who bore such stellar qualities and attained many remarkable achievements, our Aunty remained a humble woman who made her self available to all of her family.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of such a rare gem and pray that the Almighty God accepts her warmly into his abode and that her soul rests in perfect peace.

May God give us the strength to bear this loss.

Aunty Oziti, we thank you so much for the love you showed us as children growing up without their mother.
you were special, your smile and laughter brightened up the darkest days and gave rays of hope.
You looked so fragile but you were a pillar of strength.
It has never been easy to say goodbye to someone whom we love dearly that has always been part of our lives.
This is not a good bye, for to live in the hearts of those who love us is not to have died.
May the heavens favour you our lovely aunt.

I am saddened by the news of Mama’s transition, but I am also thankful to God that she passed away fulfilled as a decidedly dedicated Christian. So, she’s in a better place. I have fond memories of her love to all and her diverse community. As a Dele’s long-time friend and implicitly a member of the family, I share in this grief because I experienced the joy of rare motherhood expressions Mama shared to people beyond her biological children. I pray for the repose of her beautiful soul. May The Almighty God comfort my dear friend, Dele, his siblings and the entire family. Rest well, Mama.
